Altay Bayindir will 'get his chances' amid continued Andre Onana scrutiny

Image
Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir will "get his chances", manager Erik ten Hag has revealed amid ongoing scrutiny of Andre Onana's performances. United made Onana one of the most expensive goalkeepers in History during the summer when he completed a £47m transfer from Inter, reuniting with former Ajax boss Ten Hag in Manchester. The great hope was that the Cameroonian, who is noted for his ability to play with the ball at his feet, would kick Ten Hag's United onto a new tactical level in a way that former number one David de Gea could not. But persistent mistakes with his hands have proven a surprise problem. There was more of that on Wednesday night when a sub-par performance contributed to Galatasaray snatching a 3-3 draw, despite twice trailing by two goals in the game. It has to further questions over Onana's position and whether back-up Bayindir deserves a chance, having yet to make his debut since arriving from Fenerbahce on summer transfer deadli...

Suns vs Raptors Picks, Predictions & Odds Tonight - NBA

Image
The Toronto Raptors are in a tough spot tonight. The Raptors will be playing the second half of a back-to-back when they host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns. The Raps are coming off a tough loss at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets last night while KD and the Suns come into this one red-hot. Does Toronto have a chance to slow down Phoenix, or will the Suns shine bright and cover the NBA odds spread in the process?  I break it all down and bring you the best bet in my NBA picks for Suns vs. Raptors on Wednesday, November 29. Suns vs Raptors odds Suns vs Raptors predictions The Toronto Raptors' inconsistent play continued in last night’s loss to the Nets. They struggled shooting everywhere, including the charity stripe, and things won’t get any easier against a Phoenix Suns team that is well-rested and riding a seven-game winning streak (5-2 against the spread). Toronto is now shooting 40.5% from the field, 30.5% from 3-point range, and a befuddling 66% from t...

Thomas Müller wanted by MLS, according to reports in Germany

Image
It seems like MLS Commissioner Don Garber wasn’t lying back in July when he said that Messi’s arrival was just the beginning of a new era in MLS . Now, several media outlets are reporting that the league are analysing the option of having four designated players per team for next season, instead of three. This change has one obvious reason behind: the inclusion of top talent from across the world no longer see MLS as a place to retire to but a league to com Pet e in, and as a results various names are being linked with a move to North America. The latest player on the long list of MLS links is Germany and Bayern’s legendary forward, Thomas Müller. According to Sports Bild in Germany, Müller, a key figure in the German national team that won the World Cup in Brazil 2014 , winning the ‘Silver Boot’ for the five goals he managed to score, is on the radar of numerous MLS clubs . National Cake Day (November 26th)

Image
Quick facts When is it? Every November 26th Tagged as Cakes Food & Drink What's the hashtag? #NationalCakeDay Have we missed something? “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche!” or, “Let them eat cake!” Perhaps the most famous quote about cake ever were the words of a great French princess. Typically attributed to Marie Antoinette herself upon being informed that the peasants were so poor that they had no bread to eat during one of the famines that occurred in France during the reign of her husband, Louis XVI. Needless to say, the ignorance and arrogance of that disdainful statement did not win either Marie Antoinette or her husband any respect or sympathy from their people, who then proceeded to behead both of them during the French Revolution! However, none of this changes the fact that cake is arguably one of the most delicious baked goods that humans have ever made to eat, and its numerous varieties continue to astound every cake fan. For that reason, it is obvi...

Trilobites гeѕᴜггeсted: Unearthing an Ancient Map in a ѕtагtɩіпɡ Discovery

Image
Artist’s rendering of a trilobite based on preserved soft body parts. Credit: Nobu Tamura Ten newly discovered ѕрeсіeѕ of trilobites, hidden for 490 million years in a little-studied part of Thailand, could be the mіѕѕіпɡ pieces in an intricate puzzle of ancient world geography. Trilobites are extіпсt sea creatures with half-moon-shaped heads that breathed through their legs. A 100-page monograph in  Papers in Palaeontology  offeгѕ great detail about the new ѕрeсіeѕ, including one named in honor of Thai Royal Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The trilobite foѕѕіɩѕ were trapped between layers of Pet rified ash in sandstone, the product of old volcanic eruptions that settled on the sea floor and formed a green layer called a tuff. Unlike some other kinds of rocks or sediment, tuffs contain crystals of zircon—a mineral that formed during an eruption and are, as the name of the rock layer containing them suggests, toᴜɡһ. Zircon is chemically stable as well as heat and weather-resi...

Santiago Giménez transfer updates: Chelsea interest in Mexico star

Chelsea are thought to be considering a January move for in-form striker Santiago Giménez as they look to strengthen their attacking options. The Blues have spent more than $1 billion in just 18 months under their new owners but are still lacking a central striker. Giménez has attracted attention this year with his incredible goal-scoring form with Feyenoord , bagging 15 goals in all com Pet itions for the Dutch side. Giménez top-scored for Feyenoord in 2022/23 as they clinched the Eredivisie title. The Mexican international is considered a good focal point striker and, at 22 years old, fits Chelsea’s policy of buying young players. Reports in the UK suggest that Feyenoord would considering letting Giménez leave for around €40 million ($44m) plus add-ons . Qatar MotoGP winner Di Giannantonio explains ‘mapping 8’ message

Image
The Gresini rider overtook championship leader Francesco Bagnaia in the latter stages of Sunday’s 22-lap Qatar GP to score a maiden premier class victory. It comes as Di Giannantonio currently doesn’t have a place on the 2024 grid, having lost his ride to Marc Marquez. While a few weeks ago in the frame for a Honda seat, this now looks likely to be going to Luca Marini, while VR46 commented earlier in the Qatar weekend that Di Giannantonio wasn’t an option. As he chased Bagnaia, Di Giannantonio was given a ‘mapping 8’ message on his dashboard on lap 18. Previously, this was a coded team order message Ducati issued to Jorge Lorenzo back in 2017 in the last two rounds of that season when team-mate Andrea Dovizioso was fighting for the championship. But Di Giannantonio says his ‘mapping 8’ call was simply to tell him he didn’t have long left in the race to attack Bagnaia. Knicks vs Hornets Picks, Predictions & Odds Tonight - NBA

Image
It’s a matchup of teams each playing the second Game of a back-to-back, as the New York Knicks battle the Charlotte Hornets Saturday night . New York is a 6.5-point favorite in the NBA odds, after laying waste to the Washington Wizards 120-99, giving them wins in five of their last six. Charlotte, meanwhile, just took its worst beating of the year last time out against Milwaukee, 130-99. The Hornets have lost three straight and five of their last six. Let’s size up Knicks vs. Hornets in my NBA picks and predictions for November 18. Knicks vs Hornets odds Knicks vs Hornets predictions New York’s recent fun run has been mostly a romp. Save for a loss to the Celtics in that streak, and a two-point win over the Atlanta Hawks, the Knicks have won their other four games by double digits, with three of them by more than 20. They aren’t doing the heavy scoring lifting — New York ranks a lowly 24th averaging 110 points a game. It’s that vice-like...
