Kevin De Bruyne has admitted his hamstrings felt like "wet kitchen towel" simply waiting to implode towards the end of last season. The Belgian playmaker, who has regularly blamed Football 's hectic schedule for an increase in injuries, suffered a hamstring problem in last season's Champions League final and picked up a similar issue in the first Game of the current season which forced him to undergo surgery. De Bruyne has assured Manchester City fans his recovery is on schedule and revealed a fresh scan next week will offer a better idea of a potential return date.
