PGMOL to release VAR audio of Anthony Gordon's controversial winner against Arsenal
Refereeing body PGMOL will release the audio of officials deliberating Anthony Gordon's controversial winner for Newcastle in their Premier League clash with Arsenal earlier in November. Gunners manager Mikel Arteta unleashed a furious rant after his side were downed 1-0 by the Magpies at St James' Park, labelling the decision to allow Gordon's strike to stand "embarrassing" and a "disgrace". The goal went through three steps of checks by the video assistant referee as they adjudicated on whether the ball had gone out of play, if Gabriel Magalhaes had been fouled by Joelinton and if an offside had taken place.
